Smita MOhanty entered in the ORIYA FILM INDUSTRY in 1996 as a HEROINE and acted in 14 ORIYA FILMS. Then she has  acted in the Oriya version Mega Serial MAUSI (Radhika Madam’s Mega Telugu Serial “PINNY”) an, In-House production of ETV Oriya Channel in the title role MAUSI . She became popular in every household in Orissa Odisha .
The Serial Mausi was shoot in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad in the year 2001-2003.
